Sara Bennett began writing as soon as she could
hold a pen, and always knew she wanted to be a published
author. After winning a local short story competition
and then having several of her stories accepted
for an Australian magazine, she thought her dream
had come true. But nothing is easy, and writing
doesn't always pay well.
Working at a series of mind-numbing jobs, she continued
to write in her spare time and was lucky enough
to have one of her manuscripts accepted by Harlequin
Mills and Boon in London. Five books later, she
moved to mainstream writing in the Australian fiction
market, and five books after that she began writing
for Avon. So far she has written six books for Avon,
with the seventh out in October this year. Sara
has no plans to go anywhere, in fact she intends
to stay right where she is, writing e.xactly the
sorts of books she loves to read. A dream come true,
really
