I really enjoyed it though it took me a bit of time to get into it since I haven't been reading a lot of historical romances lately but I'm trying to get back to it.

I am rereading an old favorite " The Flame and the Flower" by Woodiwiss. I have read this book at least 20 times and it is still wonderful.

Sandy...Princess PP is younger than us and may have missed this one. After all it came out originally in the 70's and is a classic bodice ripper. Love the book and haven't reread in an age ... will have to put it on my list.

I agree...how can you be a proper romance reader and miss one of the classics. Princess PP must check it out! It'll make up for the Christina Dodd novel she couldn't read and I made the mistake of finishing.

I read that book quite a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Brandon might have been extremely frustrating at times, but I could overlook it because Kathleen was a very talented writer and there wasn't really any slow moments in the book. I've been trying to get Dorie to read it, because I think it's right up her alley. She's been resisting.

Poopy, I read your fantastic review of An Impossible Attraction, so I know you really enjoyed it. I happened to read the excerpts I received from Romance Designs and it was going well, until the consummation when he found out *you know what* about the heroine and turned into a complete bastard afterward. I find my tolerance for bastard heroes has worn thin, I mean, it's fine if they act like that through some of the book, but if he's like that until near the very end when he finally discovers that he loves the heroine, that no longer appeals to me like it used to. Is An Impossible Attraction like that? Also, I've read reviews calling the heroine a doormat, do you agree?
