Me too Margaret it was a wonderful book but it made me sad in some parts and the end as well a lil sad because we will have no more harry potter adventures to enjoy but she is a great storyteller and I hope we see something new from her in the future

I'm reading "Breathing Room" and it's surprisingly enjoyable!  The start was a bit slow and I thought it would be drama drama but it was funny and often at the oddest points.  A keeper but my favorites from her are still

Heaven, Texas
Lady be Good
Kiss an Angel
First Lady

 Cheesy

I will be reading Victoria Thompson's "Murder in Chinatown"  I love her gaslight sries. It is just that they only come out once a year.

I have not read a book by SEP in awhile, nothing  after Ain't She Sweet? I think that was my last book but her, I don’t remember buying or reading anything from her after.
Heaven Texas and Nobody’ Baby But Mine though my two favorites in her Chicago Stars series. Her books are a hit or miss with me. Some of her titles I like a lot and some I really dislike.

I absolutely loved Breathing Room!   This year I've read her latest, Natural Born Charmer.   It's one of my keepers!  Read Match Me If You Can first.  Thery are both a part of the Stars series in a way.  I really love SEP books and look forward to them each year.

Do you post on the SEP forum?

I wasn't wild about Ain't She Sweet? but there were parts that made me laugh somehow.  It was OK although a lot of Amazon users have rated it 4.5 stars!

Breathing Room is definitely in my keeper file.  It's hard to think of Ren as macho when he devotes his time and resources to aggravating Dr. Favor.  I might leave Bobby Tom for him!

Natural Born Charmer was enjoyable.  Is it me or is SEP's themes involve family problems somehow?

I read Match Me if You Can before that and isn't Anabelle cute!  Although the one thing I do hate about a novel in a series is the way the previous heroes and heroines meddle and be all goody goody.  Yes, Phoebe, I'm talking about you!  Cheesy

All these comments about The Perfect Bride is making me jealous.  Sad

I'm reading The Viscount in Her Bedroom by Gayle Callen.  It's pretty good, the hero is blind from a riding accident.

Never Deceive a Duke was a wonderful read.  Think it's one of Liz Carlyle best novel.  It had such dark overtones to it ... kind of like a film noir or maybe romance noir.

I am reading The Serpent Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt. I'm about half way into it and ooh baby, she does not disappoint! Simon is so deliciously lascivious, he makes my pulse race during every love scene.  Heart

I am so reading this book.  Right after I'm done re-reading the Privilege of the Sword and reading Highlander Untamed (Monica McCarty).  Highlander Untamed is a real throwback novel...my only wish the hero was a bit more rough with the heroine.  Than I would be absolute paradise.

The Serpent Prince sounds right up my alley way...now to find the book.

Oh and the re-read of Privilege of the Sword...there is so much more to the book the second time through.  Seems like I've gone from a drought to some damn good books lately.

I'm now right into RIVALS FOR THE CROWN by Kathleen Givens.  Do you know what I love about her writing, I constantly learn something new from her.  In On A Highland Shore, she wrote about the Viking Invasion of Scotland in the 13th century.  In this we forward 20 years to where young Queen Margaret has died at the age of 8, Jews are being exiled from London and Scotland is in a uproar over who will suceed the crown.  It's more a historical fiction novel than a historical romance novel but I am really really enjoying it and taking my sweet time reading it.

On a side note I emailed Kathleen my faux pas on the title mix-up.  I freaked her out it is very similar to the 3rd novel she is working on and no I cannot divulge what she is actually calling it.

I liked both of them, but the second one was definitely more emotionally captivating than the first. I had no idea there was so much depth to Gareth while reading the first one, i though the second would be about her brother, but he's in the third in a WHOLE YEAR from now.

Cry Broken Heart Cry  but, but, but I really want to read the it NOW!!!  It sound like  a perfect book for me.

Guess that just means I'll go pick up Kathleen Givens new book instead.  Or maybe my other Riverside books will get here and I can get lost in a dark decandent but ever witty world.

I am so sorry, I didn't mean to tease anyone! I should have mentioned that it was an ARC, but it comes out next month, so it's not too long a wait.  Tongue

I just finished David Baldacci's The Collectors. It's the follow-up to The Camel Club.  Both were very good.  I think he's got a new series going as he left the reader sort of hanging.  Not sure what I'll read next.  Any suggestions?
