Revisions, revisions, and other stuff  ( on: December 01, 2007, 04:37:51 AM)

Hi all,

I've been mostly incommunicando for a while as one of my furry babies has been rather ill (he had giardia -- parasites that colonize in the guts of the animal and cause weight loss, diarrhoea, and vomiting -- and the usual pharmaceuticals didn't work.  Sad  Luckily, we made a last attempt with colloidal silver, and that did work. Like a charm, in fact!). In addition, I needed some time to concentrate on my dissertation (which is now coming along nicely --yay!)

At the moment I'm working on the revisions for BEWITCHED, my April 08 release. If you'd like some early glimpses of Miss Amelia Bourne and the Honourable Sebastian "Fox" Stapleton, please visit me on my blog. By now I've also got the cover picture -- here it is:

How do you like it?

Cheers,
Sandy  Sun

I was just dreaming about you last night, Ms. Schwab, wandering where you had been and when you would treat us all with another wonderful novel.  I'm glad to hear that everything is going well and especially that your furry baby is healthy again.  Sounds like a nasty parasite...I've never head of it before.  I'll have to ask my vet about it.

Anyway welcome back!

Hi Laurel, I'm glad you like the cover pic! Smiley

~*~

And Lynn!  Hi Wow, you dreamt about me? Now that's seriously cool. I hope it was a nice dream. And of course, I also hope that Bewitched will turn out just as wonderful as you assume it to be. So far, I'm quite happy with the revisions; I just need to find another way to kill the eeeeeeevuhl plant. That sword is just too ridiculous!

Often a smaller item like a dagger, a paring knife does the job quiete nicely.  Although when it comes to possessed plants I prefer acid sprinkled with holy water.

Ah, but it's a really big eeeevuhl plant. One that eats little birds, you know. So a dagger or knife would be too small. I was thinking of a spade -- add a little magic to it, and Bob's your uncle. Though the idea with the acid isn't too bad either. Hmmm.

Really eeeevuhl plant....I would say have the priest bless the acid and add some holy water to it, and than have the magician give you a magic spade to scatter the ashes and soil with so it never comes back.

LOL! You two are cracking me up. I almost feel sorry for the eeeevuhl plant.  Grin

It's great to have you back Sandy! I'm so glad your furry baby is better, I hate it when any of mine are ill. Congrats on your dissertation coming along nicely. Clapping

The cover is lovely, I like it very much. It has a mysterious quality to it that appeals to me. I'm looking forward to reading Bewitched.

Yup. Really eeevuhl. And unfortunately the priest isn't supposed to know about the existence of eeeevuhl plants or magic, because it would freak the poor man out. Hmph. But the holy water is a good idea! Thanks!

At the moment it seems, though, that the eeevuhl plant isn't going to be my biggest problem. The scene when doom enters with a bang is. And the dratted love scene. Argh! Argh! Argh!

Hi Persephone!  Hi It's not really a cuddly eeevuhl plant, and as I said, it eats little birds. And poisons trees. Really a nasty bit of flora. So there's no need to feel sorry for it. Better give it a good whack with a spade! He.

I'm glad you like the cover for Bewitched. As to the book's contents ....  Tmi Ah well. I'm working on that. The first third of the story is really nice, though!

RE: the dissertation: I'll have a big 1-hour presentation on Monday about the thesis. Please keep your fingers crossed that everything will go well!
